Traffic Woes

Come to think of it... You park your bike in a No Parking zone (it's not easy getting parking now-a-days, okay!). The traffic cop comes over with that tow truck, loads up your bike and waits for you to turn up. On realizing you messed up, you ask/beg/plead/cry for your bike to be released. Well, its an offence and you gotta shell out some cash.

The cop offers you three options..
1. You go to court, which decides how much you pay before you are back on your bike.
(Legal, Rs.450, 3 days)
2. You go to the police station, pay a fine against a receipt and you get your bike back.
(More-or-less Legal, Rs.350, an hour or so)
3. You shove a crumpled currency note into the cop's pocket, get your ass on your bike and ride off.
(Corrupt Practice, Rs.100, 2 minutes)

Now tell me, how many of you will actually take offer 1 or 2..? Ain't it easier being corrupt?
At IfC, we make an attempt to preserve the system as it is; keep our options open and let India keep "Shining"..!
